Raw Mango Chutney (Aam ki Launji)
 
 
This delicious sweet and sour raw mango chutney is great as a side dish with a meal.
 
 
Ingredients
 
Fenugreek seeds (methi daana) : 1 tablespoon
Fennel seeds (saunf) : 1 tablespoon
Onion seeds (kalonji) : 1 teaspoon
Raw Mango : One
Turmeric powder (haldi) : 1/4 teaspoon
Coriander powder (dhania) : 1 teaspoon
Asafetida (heeng) : one pinch
Dry ginger powder (sonth) : 1/4 teaspoon
Salt and sugar to taste
 
 
Method 
 
Soak the fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds and onion seeds in water overnight.
Peel and slice the raw mango into small pieces. 
Add the dry powder masalas, the heeng and the sliced raw mango to the pan. Add salt and a little water and cook on medium or low flame till the mango is soft.
Add the sugar according to your taste and cook for another five minutes.
 
The chutney is ready to be served !
